James Dixon Kirby (’62 M.A.), Morro Bay, Calif. :: After a career in business, he enrolled at North Texas and then taught high school history for many years. He served in the Oklahoma National Guard and was called to active duty in World War II in 1939. He is survived by his daughters, Sue Nash (’67, ’69 M.A., ’79 Ph.D.), Jan (’69 M.A.) and Mary Copeland (’68), and granddaughters Shannon Petty (’95) and Amy Lynch (’95).
