Photo by Victoria & Albert MuseumAnnette Becker's ('15 M.A.) career as a fashion historian is in its early stages, but she's getting training from the best.

She attended the Curating Fashion and Dress International Training Course at the Victoria and Albert Museum -- considered the "world's leading museum of art and design" -- in February in London.

Becker is assistant to the director at the Spencer Museum of Art in Lawrence, Kan. She previously served as curatorial and collections assistant at the Texas Fashion Collection at UNT.

"I appreciate fashion as a subject for study because it so intimately touches everyone," she says. "After all, what is more personal than what we wear on our bodies?"
