Clint Surles

Clint Surles (’50), Palestine. He earned a business degree and also played trumpet around Denton. His studies were interrupted by World War II, when he served in the Army’s 361st infantry as a medical technician in Africa, France and Italy, including the towns of Anzio, Florence, Rome and Venice. He later worked in the railroad and oil industries and in vegetable sales, and he operated the family-owned Palestine Coca-Cola/Dr Pepper Bottling Co.
