How it feels to graduate after all these years:

Favorite memory of North Texas in the 1950s:
Music classes. The music professors were absolutely wonderful, they understood me and treated me like any other student.
What has changed about UNT:
This campus is made up of young people, older people and people from all over the world who are here to study and become educated people who will change the world. It is wonderful to watch the daily activities on campus and to see everyone busy working and preparing for a better future.
Advice for students today:
Come to school and stay in school. You’ll learn so much more than you ever thought, and you’ll find out that more is out there for you than you ever imagined. You’re going to need an education because it’s competitive out there, and you need to learn to be responsible. You’re going to make friends who will teach you how to be a better person, who will study with you and help you.
