Arthur ClevelandArthur Cleveland, (M.S., ’71 Ph.D.), Riverside, Calif. :: retired as vice president for university advancement for California Baptist University in Riverside in April after 50 years in higher education as a professor and an administrator. As CBU’s top development officer, he was involved in a number of achievements and led restructuring of the advancement team to provide focused fundraising support for academic programs and athletics. He joined CBU as the dean of research in 2006. He formerly served as president of Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka, Alaska, and held faculty and administrative positions with universities in Georgia, South Dakota and Texas. He is a prolific author, and his research in China on endangered mammal species earned him international attention. He and his wife, Vicki, have three children, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
