UNT aviation logistics students develop smartphone app to ease airport navigation

Paeros, a smartphone app developed by UNT aviation logistics students, won first place in a student research contest held in conjunction with the American Association of Airport Executives conference. The app is aimed at providing air passengers with easier travel experiences inside airports.

"The app is like 'Google Maps' for inside an airport terminal," says David Looney of Austin, UNT's team captain and former president of the association's student chapter at UNT.

Other team members are Michael Hafner of Ovilla, Austin Stromberg of Lake Jackson, and Hong Yun Yong of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
