Janet Whitehouse

Janet Baker Whitehouse (’78 M.L.S.), San Antonio :: She was a librarian who had worked in the maps division of the Library of Congress and for the San Antonio ISD and the University of Texas at San Antonio. She had traveled around the world twice.

Margot Parlette

Margot A. Parlette (’87 M.M.), Tucson, Ariz. :: She studied music at UNT and went on to play viola for the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, teach general music and strings at a Montessori school, and teach violin and viola lessons at her home studio in Tucson. She also taught in Portland, Ore.

Brian Peyton

Brian Sean Peyton (’08), Denton :: He earned his degree in geography with a minor in geology and was enrolled as a prebiology major in fall 2012 with plans to become a dentist.

Florine Murphy

Florine Ermine Sadler Murphy (’37), Fort Worth :: She worked through the Depression and finished her bachelor's degree from North Texas in 1937. She taught in Electra and Wichita Falls, then taught second grade at Lily B. Clayton Elementary School in Fort Worth from 1945 until 1965 before teaching in the Spring Branch ISD for eight years. She retired from teaching in 1973 and returned to Fort Worth. She taught for a short time at McMaster Private School and was a member of Edge Park United Methodist Church, the Friendship Sunday School Class and the Fort Worth Retired Teachers Association for many years. She was 100.

Everett Denison

Everett Roy Denison, Lewisville :: He attended North Texas from 1935 to 1937. He was a telephone man with Southwestern Bell for 41 years and was a founding member and one of the builders of Lewisville Bible Church. In his younger days, he was one of Texas’ top bull riders.
