B. Todd Blankenship
, Leonard, married Polly Knight on July 21. He is employed with the North Texas Division of Coca-Cola Enterprises as branch manager in Lawton, Okla.

David M. Jones, Pleasanton, Calif., is the fuel supply and production manager for Calpine Corp.’s Western Region Office in Pleasanton. Calpine is the nation’s largest independent producer of natural gas-fired electric generation.

Michael J. Kane (Ph.D.), Portage, Ind., was promoted to vice president of educational resources of Moody Bible Institute. He has worked for MBI for the past eight years.

M. Lis Melendez-Shanks
, Leander, and her husband, Glenn, celebrated the birth of their first child, Hunter William, in May. Melendez-Shanks is a reading recovery teacher with the Austin ISD.

James K. Wilson III (’99 M.Ed.), Keller, is the high school principal at Aubrey High School. He had served as assistant principal at Fossil Ridge High School in Keller.

Lori Thornton Allen
, Ballwin, Mo., was awarded an E. Desmond Lee Fellowship to pursue a graduate certificate in museum studies and a master of arts degree in history at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She and her husband celebrated the birth of their daughter, Miranda Catherine, in December 1999 and relocated from Houston to St. Louis in June 2000.

Laura M. Bartlett, Columbia, Md., married James Moore in June 2000. She was recently promoted to program manager at Research Planning Inc. and will directly support its Department of Justice Office for Victims of Crime contract.

Gail A. Jones (Ph.D.), Decatur, was presented with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists Regional Associate Member Award for the South Central Region in March. Jones is an instructor of clinical biochemistry at Texas Christian University.

, Dallas, received the VIP Service Excellence Award for 2000. She is a graduate of Leadership Richardson Class XVI and is a real estate agent.

Melissa C. Collins, Evanston, Ill., received a juris doctor degree from Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago in May. She is an associate at Jenner & Block, a Chicago-based law firm.

Brent W. Baker
, Weatherford, is the associate dean of external affairs at Weatherford College.

Christi N. Biggers, Lancaster, works for a major communications company. She is married to Shawn D. Biggers (’96), and they have a 2-year-old son, Mason.

Jason M. Schwartz, Fullerton, Calif., received his juris doctor degree from Western State University College of Law in December 2000. He passed the California Bar Examination in February and now works in criminal, family and immigration law.

, Garland, married Celeste D. Ball in May.

Christopher D. Hassell, Bedford, is director of bands for Medlin Middle School in the Northwest ISD. He was head band director in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD for the past six years. He and his wife, Tanya Hassell (’95), reside in Bedford with their daughter, Alexa Layne.

Jessica L. Moore (’97 M.A.), Austin, is pursuing a doctorate in interpersonal communication studies at the University of Texas at Austin. She received an academic appointment at UT as an assistant instructor for the Department of Communication Studies.

Raleigh K. Dailey
(M.M.), Lexington, Ky., is a lecturer in jazz studies at the University of Kentucky and is working on a doctorate. He performs with the Kentucky Jazz Repertory Orchestra and is pianist and chief arranger for the DiMartino-Osland Jazz Orchestra.

Heather Whitlock Michaud, Pflugerville, and her husband, Doug, celebrated the birth of twin daughters, Megan and Ashlyn, in July.

, Arvada, Colo., married Stehlin Crawford in Estes Park, Colo., in May 2000.

Marisol Trevizo (M.P.A.), Garland, is the assistant to the city manager at Fort Worth. She previously was the grant and contract compliance administrator for the Dallas city auditor’s office.

Lura S. Williams, Arlington, completed three years of Peace Corps service in Ghana in August. She taught chemistry at a senior secondary school for two years and served as a gender and youth development volunteer coordinator for one year.

, Rockaway, N.J., graduated from Rutgers Law School in May. He works at Lowenstein Sandler in Roseland, N.J., practicing white-collar criminal defense.

Lariane Egger-Groff, College Station, is the catering sales manager at the College Station Hilton Hotel & Conference Center. She and her husband, Denis, have a 2-year-old daughter, Haley.

Bryan F. Hughes (M.S.), Madison, Ala., is a staff physicist with Mission Research Corp. in the company’s Huntsville, Ala., office.

David T. Tough, Springfield, Mo., received his M.B.A. from Pepperdine University. He works in the copyright department of Warner/Chappell Music in Santa Monica, Calif.

Donald H. Underwood II, Irving, is an associate at Walsh, Anderson, Brown, Schulze & Aldridge PC in Irving.

Patricia Wisdom-Walters (Ed.D.), Grapevine, is founder and director of Private Schools Interscholastic Association, an extracurricular academic program for students in first through eighth grades.

Matthew E. Krause, Denton, married Tyra D. Vassey (’00) in June.

Christopher H. Moss (M.F.A.), Normangee, works at Barbara Moss Insurance Agency in Normangee. He previously worked for Wells Fargo Bank.
