B. Nicholas Oray
(Ph.D.), St. Paul, Minn., has been promoted to vice president of research and development for Synovis Life Technologies, a medical device company. He joined Synovis in 1998.

Karen Womack Shawn, Saginaw, teaches business education and science at Elmer C. Watson Learning Center in the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD. She earned her M.Ed. with a major in administration from Texas Woman's University in December 2003.

(Ed.D.), Garland, is president and CEO of Mesquite-based Christian Care Centers, a non-profit organization that provides residential and nursing care services to senior citizens.

Gena Natho, Fort Worth, is production coordinator for Western Horseman magazine.

Karen Grodahl-Irons
, Corinth, was promoted to business analysis manager for Hanson Aggregates Inc., a division of Hanson Building Materials America/Hanson PLC. She is responsible for directing the capital investment program and project post-evaluations.

Ed McVey, Upper Darby, Pa., and his wife, former North Texas student Emilie Mehan McVey, traveled to the former Soviet republic Moldova where they adopted their daughter, Lydia Olesea. Their 11-year-old daughter, Rachel, accompanied them on the trip, which ended a four-year process to adopt an international child.

Jerry McDonald
('98 M.S.), Dallas, is the administrator of Lennwood Nursing and Rehabilitation and has been appointed to the board of directors of AIDS Arms Inc., serving on the Resource Development Committee. He has also been selected to serve as the 2004-05 co-chair for AIDS Arms LifeWalk, which is the largest fundraising event for AIDS in Texas.

Terri Green
, Long Beach, Calif., is a certified legal assistant and holds the position of compliance and legal affairs coordinator at Universal Care Inc. in Signal Hill, Calif. She is also an adjunct instructor of legal studies at Learning Tree University in Chatsworth, Calif.

Rudy Klancnik, Fort Worth, has joined American Airlines Publishing's New Ventures Group as senior account manager. Prior to joining AAP, he was editorial director at Beckett Publications.

Delane McClellan Richmond, Woodland Park, Colo., and her
husband, Michael, welcomed their second child, Kellie, in April 2003. They also have a 3-year-old son, Kenny.

David Sampson (M.Ed.), Nacogdoches, is general manager of Neckover Trailers in Troup. He is also serving as president of Fredonia Hill Baptist School in 2003-04.

Bryon Coleman, Houston, has received the Founders Award as Regional Sales Manager of the Year from Jones Dairy Farm, a pork processing company based in Fort Atkinson, Wisc. This is the second consecutive year he has earned the award and also received a new Harley Davidson. In January he became director of export sales for Mexico. He has worked for Jones Dairy Farm since 1998.

Mark Hollingsworth (D.M.A.), Ada, Okla., was named chair of the Department of Music at East Central University in Ada.
