Mitchell Davis, Edmond, Okla., was promoted to assistant inspector in charge of the Midwest division in St. Louis of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.

Christopher Gale, San Antonio, who earned his juris doctor degree, practices in the area of civil rights law and teaches at Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi. He and his wife, Terri, and son Christopher J. Gale II, 5, welcomed a second child, Cameron James Gale, Oct. 19.

Michael Jistel, Rockwall, recently moved back to the Dallas area. He is vice president of direct lending for Community Credit Union in Plano.

Debbie Krauth, Jonesboro, Ga., and her husband adopted a baby girl, Carly Jean, from China Jan. 7. The baby was born Oct. 17, 2001.

Brenna Manasco, Orange, was named director of the Orange Public Library in December. She began working full time for the library in 1993 as a reference librarian.

Brent Smith, Irving, is one of the founders of ANI Direct Network Security Solutions, a Dallas-based computer security company. He serves as president of the company, which also has an office in California.

Tony Brown and Jennifer Garrison ('99), St. Louis, Mo., were married June 14, 2002. Tony is a high school band director and Jennifer is a middle school band director in the Mehlville school district in St. Louis.

Marc Sloter ('98 M.B.A.), Fort Worth, has accepted a job as vice president and head of the trust department of First Command Bank. He and Jude Hiney Sloter ('93) have a new baby girl, Caroline Emery. Her sister, Mollie Kate, is 3.

Erik Sandoval Rinderle, La Quinta, Calif., is the entertainment anchor for CBS-2 in Palm Springs. He has adopted twin boys, Robbie and Allen, who are 5 years old.

Peter Razey, Lake Oswego, Ore., has accepted an offer to become a territory manager for the state of Oregon with Allergan Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company selling ophthalmology products.

Frank Simmons, Virginia Beach, Va., a captain in the Marine Corps, was deployed to the Middle East as the commander of a fleet anti-terrorism security team platoon. He and his wife, Kelly, a special education teacher in Norfolk, live in Virginia Beach with their dog, Rudy.

Viktor Szucs, Dallas, was named one of Dallas' top financial planners in the December issue of D Magazine. He is director of business development for Quest Capital Management, a financial planning firm in Dallas.

Brian D. Anderson, Denton, who works for Sovereign Financial, has earned the designation of Certified Senior Advisor. The training helps professionals in medicine, insurance, investments and recreation serve the needs of senior citizens.

Brian Dobbs, Dallas, works with Allstate Insurance as a claims adjuster. He married Melissa Watson last August.

Kathy Kuddes (M.M.E.), Allen, and doctoral student Julie Scott, Dallas, were invited to present a session at the 16th International Kodály Symposium at the University of Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia, in July. Kathy is the director of fine arts for the Plano ISD. Julie is a lecturer at Southern Methodist University.

Norm Garner, Euless, is the city director for Here's Life Inner City in Dallas, the urban ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. He and his wife, Amy ('93), had their third child, Sophia Kathryn, in November. Their other daughters are Clara, 4, and Hannah, 2.

Abby A. Goodrum (Ph.D.), Syracuse, N.Y., assistant professor and interim director of the master of library science program at Syracuse University, was published in the fall 2002 issue of Cataloging and Classification Quarterly. The article will also appear in a book, Works as Entities for Information Retrieval.

Scott Morris, Dallas, has been named director of operations for Castle Hills Development Corp., developer of the Castle Hills community near Lewisville.

Ken Prouty (M.M.), Terre Haute, Ind., was appointed assistant professor of African and African American studies at Indiana State University. After receiving his UNT degree in jazz studies, Ken earned his doctorate in ethnomusicology at the University of Pittsburgh. He and his wife, Kate ('96 M.M.), a flutist and teacher, have one daughter, Allison.

Richie Martin, Irving, has accepted a position as assistant city attorney for the city of Arlington.

Jessica McCambly, Brighton, Mass., is designing a line of jewelry made from precious and semi-precious stones and found objects. Her collection debuted in April in a show at Stanley Korshak at the Crescent in Dallas.

Bob McQuaid (Ph.D.), Thousand Oaks, Calif., has been appointed director of full-time M.B.A. programs in the Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University.
