Ernest Gus Cothran Jr., (’75 M.S.), Lexington, Ky., was promoted to professor of veterinary science at the University of Kentucky.

Deborah A. Abadie (’76 M.S.), Bellaire, was presented the Eagle Award by Keller Williams Realty in recognition of her service to others.

Beverly Barber Collette and Stephen A. Collette (’75), Dallas, own and operate Goldin Pickle Co. in Garland, one of only two pickle processors in Texas. The company sells wholesale to distributors whose pickles are primarily sold in the Southwest.

Stephen D. Maikowski, Metuchen, N.J., was named director of New York University Press in New York.

Owen R. Phillips (M.S.), Keller, was the recipient of the NorthEast Arts Treasure Award, presented by the Arts Council of NorthEast Tarrant County, for his dedication and commitment to the arts. Owens has taught at the Birdville and Keller school districts and has served as music minister for the First United Methodist Church in Keller

Thomas D. Winslett II, Dallas, was named treasurer of Sterling Capital Investment Group Inc. Prior to joining Sterling in 1999, Winslett maintained a public accounting practice for 15 years, served a public company as a corporate tax manager and worked for Peat Marwick, Mitchell & Co.
