fifth-grade math and science at Bridlewood Elementary School

was named executive director of global operations for Young's
Presidents' Organization, a not-for-profit organization
dedicated to creating better leaders through education and idea
exchange.

Dawes Garrett ('02 M.S.), San Antonio, is the access services and web librarian
at Our Lady of the Lake University. His request this March for
a copy of the doctoral dissertation of a San Antonio community
leader led to the revelation that the man had falsely claimed to
have a doctoral degree. Garrett says information really is power.

Young,
Yuma, Colo., is the new accounting-marketing education teacher
at Yuma High School. She and her husband, Trent, the pastor at
the First Baptist Church, have two children, Zach, 9, and Jacque,
6. She says they love Colorado living.

Waco, is teaching as a strings specialist at Mary Hardin Baylor
University. She is also a freelance writer and performer
and maintains a private studio at the university and at Highland
Music Academy in Waco.
Patty
Hartleben Granville (M.A.),
Garland, has been honored by the city of Garland with a new facility
named the Patty Granville Arts Center. Early in her career she
was "Miss Patty" in the syndicated children's
television program Romper Room. She became director of Garland's
performing arts center in 1982. The theater departments at Garland
ISD have also announced the Patty Granville Awards, recognizing
outstanding work in the theater programs.

Sonny Butler (Ph.D.), Statesboro, Ga., an associate professor of information
technology at Georgia Southern University, recently received awards
for two papers he co-wrote. One was named best paper in its track
at the meeting of the southeastern chapter of the Institute for
Operations Research and the Management Sciences, and the other
was named outstanding research paper at the Allied Academies international
conference.
Kristine
Farmer,
Dallas, was elected vice president and director of positions
and issues for the National Federation of Paralegal Associations.
She received the Paralegal of the Year Award in 2002 from the
Dallas Area Paralegal Association and is the immediate past president
of the Legal Assistants Division of the State Bar of Texas. She
is a senior trial paralegal for Jenkins and Watkins.

panel for the Alabama Information Technology Association.

Nadara ‘Sam' Feldman,
Eureka Springs, Ark., and her husband, Jeff, are the owners of
the Bridgeford House Bed and Breakfast, an 1884 Victorian-style
home in the historic district of Eureka Springs. Sam says owning
the bed and breakfast is the realization of a dream.
