A. Guinn Rasbury, opened his own accounting firm in 1953 and celebrated his 50th anniversary of accounting and tax practice in February. Rasbury, who attributes his career success to his North Texas professors, turns 80 in December and says he has no plans to retire. He has a granddaughter who is a prosecuting attorney and a daughter who is retiring from a 30-year teaching career.

Bob Scott, Bedford, was honored by the League of Women Voters of Texas as the state's outstanding environmentalist for 2003. A retired materials and chemical engineer, he is the president of the Tarrant County Coalition for Environmental Awareness.

Dan Trew, Fort Worth, worked 18 years in public school administration and for the last 16 years as professor and director of real estate education at Amarillo College. He was a member of the Chi Sigs at North Texas and would like to hear from others who were members prior to 1951 at trewdan@aol.com.

Arlie Keith Turkett ('52 M.Ed., '59 Ed.D.), Johnson City, Tenn., taught in Texas and Tennessee schools for more than 40 years and was named Professor Emeritus after retiring from East Tennessee State University. He currently is chair of the KDP Educational Foundation Board. He would enjoy hearing from former classmates at aktsmt@chartertn.net.

James E. Crowe, Duncanville, had more than 30 pieces of his sculpture featured at the Continental Gallery in Deep Ellum in Dallas last fall. The exhibition was called "Art is Joy, Joy is Art."

Charles E. Cole, Santa Fe, N.M., delivered the third annual Goodwin-Bryant Lecture at St. John's United Methodist Church in Santa Fe in February. The lecture was titled "Blessed are the Parents Who Raise Their Children to Be Politicians." Cole, who is married to Clarice Smith Cole ('57), is a retired UMC board executive.

James V. Cooper Jr., Waxahachie, is the city administrator for the city of Venus.

'59
Joyce M. Curtis ('60 M.S.), Abilene, was inducted into the Abilene Christian University Sports Hall of Fame. She started the women's athletics programs at ACU and was head coach of its basketball and volleyball teams. At North Texas she was a member of the volleyball and tennis teams as they began intercollegiate play.

Melvin Gordy , Hitchcock, is an adjunct faculty instructor in the School of Drafting Technology at Brazosport College. He received a five-year service award in April.

Chuck Seal ('60 M.Ed.), Panama City, Fla., was the basketball and football coach in the Bay County School System for 33 years before retiring. He and his wife, Virginia Cobb Seal, have four children and six grandchildren who live in the Panama City area.

Dale White, Houston, started his own insurance agency in 1995 after working in the insurance business for 33 years. He retired in May, selling the company to a friend. He says his fondest North Texas memories are living in Quad 4, going to Thursday lab band sessions in the Union and taking finance classes from Martin Rooney.
