Marcus E. Drewa, Jacksonville Beach, Fla., is a consultant to Shands Jacksonville and president emeritus of Methodist Medical Center and Methodist Hospital Foundation. He was president from 1966 to 1999.

Daniel M. LaGrasta (’57 M.Ed.), Fulshear, was inducted into the Texas High School Coaches Association Hall of Honor in August. He says North Texas instructors like Otis Mitchell, Dee Walker, Herb Farrell and Fred McCain played a major role in his receiving the honor.

Charlie E. Jackson (’65 M.B.A.), Plano, was appointed to the board of directors for NexusData Inc., a provider of wireless wide area data collection and information management systems.

D. Lucile Estell (M.A.), Rockdale, was named Citizen of the Year by the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce. Estell, who retired after a 48-year teaching career, received the award in recognition of her volunteer work with local organizations.
